Koyeb Review (2026)

Koyeb is a serverless platform that deploys apps globally with automatic scaling. Think Fly.io with less complexity.

What I Like

1. Simple Git deployments. Connect GitHub, select repo, deploy. Koyeb detects your framework and builds automatically.

2. Global deployment. Apps run in multiple regions by default. Lower latency for global users without manual configuration.

3. Auto-scaling. Scale to zero when idle, scale up under load. Pay only for what you use.

4. GPU instances. Run AI/ML workloads with GPU-powered instances. One of the few platforms offering this alongside regular deployments.

5. Free tier. One nano instance free — enough for a side project or API.

What I Don't Like

1. Fewer regions than Fly.io. ~10 regions vs Fly's 35+. Limited if you need specific geographic coverage.

2. Less control. Fly.io gives you Machines API and low-level control. Koyeb abstracts more away.

3. Smaller community. Fewer guides, fewer Stack Overflow answers, smaller Discord community.

4. Managed databases are basic. Koyeb's managed Postgres is newer and less feature-rich than Fly.io's or Railway's.

Verdict

7/10. Koyeb is a solid middle ground between Railway's simplicity and Fly.io's power. Good for teams that want global deployment without Fly.io's learning curve. Choose Fly.io for maximum regions and control, Koyeb for simpler global hosting.
